Students of Cambridge International School, Phagwara, made the entire Phagwara city proud by winning Gold Medal in the championship in the District Rifle Shooting Championship organized by the school.
Mr. Daljit Singh Mangat, DC,Kapurthala was the chief guest for the day. He congratulated the winners and motivated them. In his address he laid stress on the importance of sports in life. He also said that Indian Shooters have made the country proud and he so expects the same form all the students of Cambridge International School.
In this championship, 10 schools participated from the entire district. Mr. Sarvjot Singh Mund, President District Rifle Shooting Association and Secretary General Mr. Bhupinder Singh also encouraged the students to pursue rifle shooting as their career.
Principal Mr.Jorawar Singh and Managing director Mr. K.S.Bains also motivated the students and appreciated the budding shooters of the school-Hardeep Singh, Manpreet Singh, Amanpreet singh who won the gold medal for the school.
The school’s Rifle shooting coach Ms. Ramanpreet Kaur applauded the students – Simran Bhardwaj,Riya Mittal and Tanisha who scored first, second and third position respectively.
