Cambridge International School witnesses its Second Investitures Ceremony

Cambridge International School, witnessed its second formal Investitures Ceremony, where the institution formally appointed the newly elected student council.

The prestigious ceremony began with invoking god’s blessings, followed by entering of the students’ council proudly holding flags accompanied by a song sung by the school choir. The oath of allegiance was administered by Principal Mr.Jorawar Singh, whereby the newly elected members promised to discharge their duties honestly, sincerely and to the best of their ability. They promised to take the school to newer heights and glory.

Shubham Gogna of class 11 (Medical) was elected as the new Head Boy, Rupinderjit Kaur Virk of AS level as the new Head Girl, Nitisha Dhir of class 11A as House Captain Oak House, Jaspreet Kaur of class 11 C as House Captain Pine House, Harnoor Kaur of class 11 A as House Captain Maple House, Simran of class 11 D as House Captain Cedar House, Roopishwar Gill of class 11 D as Activity Captain, Ajay Sohal of class 11 A as Sports Captain. Tushar Bansal, Disha Thakur, Nitish Jhamat, Jaspreet Singh, Simranjit Kaur, Gayatri Sharma,and Gurmanpreet Kaur were elected as Class Representatives of classes 6,7,8,9,10,11,CIE respectively.

The occasion also became more glorious as the students’ of classes 5 to IGCSE received awards for Excellence in Academics.

Principal Mr.Jorawar Singh congratulated the prize winners and office bearers & held them to honour the responsibility and trust bestowed upon them and to become an example for the others to follow.
After the Principal’s speech, the School Head Girl, proposed the vote of thanks. She promised to follow the oath and to do her best along with other council members.

The programme came to an end with the National Anthem.
