“Earth doesn’t belong to us, we belong to earth.”
A special assembly was held in the school auditorium celebrating Earth day. The students of CIS Phagwara pleaded everyone to stop exploiting Mother Earth for selfish motives. They created awareness amongst everyone through a PowerPoint presentation showing the adverse effects of deforestation, automobile exhaust, industrialisation etc. and also gave useful tips on replenishing earth’s useful resources. Moreover, students presented a dance performance beseeching fellow mates to grow more trees and save paper. A documentary further influenced young minds to save water and electricity. In the end all students pledged that it’s their sole responsibility to do whatever it takes to save Earth’s atmosphere for future generations.
