An inter-class English Debate competition was held for the students of classes 6 to 8 on 27th August 2019. The topic was Social Media Ruining Social Interaction.’ Ms.Taranum Bymra and Ms.Balpreet Kaur acted as judges for the event.
A total of 31 students participated in the debate competition and spoke for and against the motion. Each participant rose to the occasion to defend their arguments.
The individual positions were fiercely competed and are as follows:
Class 8 First position was bagged by —Jihan Verma and Krishma of class 8 C,Second position was bagged by — Anjali and Third position was bagged by Avi Gautam. From Class 7 First position was bagged by Ishika Kalra ,Second by Bhavya and Third by Arshi Sharma. From Class 6 First position was bagged by Srishti, Second by Mannat andThird by Sidak Sethi and Jasmeen Janjua
The debate concluded with Principal Sir’s inspiring words. He encouraged the participants to add humor to make their delivery more interesting. The judges complimented the debaters’ conviction and acumen, and lauded their clarity of thought.
