National Cadet Corps: CATC Camp attended by the Student

Cambridge International School, Phagwara proudly encompasses excellence in the field of National Cadet Corps Training programs for the students. Willing students participate in it. This mere participation has turned into a passion for them. thus, each year new cadets are trained to the best levels and they acquire the talent provided to them by NCC.

Combined Annual Training Camp, CATC, was organized by 21 Punjab Battalion NCC Kapurthala at Sant Baba Bhag Singh University. NCC cadets from many schools attended the camp. The cadets from CIS, Phagwara were Pankaj Pal (X A), Navneet Singh (XI B) and Ekamjot Singh (X A). Special training was imparted to them through drills of various kinds. They learnt to deal with problems on the battle ground. Also, they learnt to make use of licensed weapons under expert supervision.

A Level certificates were awarded to Damanpreet Ghera (X A), Jaspreet Singh (XI Humanities), Jaskaran Singh (+1 Medical), Harguneet Singh (X C), Mudit (XI Non-Medical), Sarthak Jain (X A), Sourab Kumra (XI Non-Medical), Sanjit Singh (X B), Rahul (X C) and Kulbir Singh (X B).

Certain competitions were also organized among the cadets at the camp. Simran Bharadwaj won two Gold Medals in the Painting and Debate competitions. Manika Sondhi won a national level Gold Medal in Group Shooting arranged by TSC. These winners became an inspiration there at the camp as well as at school for all those who strive to take a step but hesitate. The girls keep rising on these stepping stones. Their bars are raised each time they participate in such events.
