SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP

Cambridge International School Phagwara bags 12 medals in Kapurthala shooting championship and becomes the new District Champion

The shooters of Cambridge International School Phagwara have made their school proud by bagging 5 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals in the Kaputrhala Shooting Championship.

16 students participated in the shooting championship in various categories.The competition saw participants from different schools across Kapurthala.

Beating tough competition Cambridge students stood the ground and created history. Karanvir Singh Walia class 6 and Rajpreet Singh class 9 won 2 Gold medals in Pistol Boys. Anshuman Class 8 and Yuvraj of Commerce class 12 bagged Silver medals. Daljit Singh Class 7 bagged the Bronze medal.

 In the category for Pistol Girls Nandini of class 12 bagged the gold medal. Samira of class 8 bagged the Silver medal.In Open Sight Rifle competition Boys, Harnoor Singh of class 9 and Vaibhav Mittal of class 8 won the gold medals. Ekamveer Singh of class 7 and Mohit of class 8 bagged the Silver medals. Udit Kapoor of class 8 bagged the Bronze medal.

By bagging 12 medals the shooting team of Cambridge International School Phagwara was declared as “District Champion”

Principal Mr.Jorawar Singh congratulated the team and said that “Shooting Sport is gaining popularity and, we should encourage the sport at School level so that we can see more faces in the Olympics.”
