Students of Class 11 (medical) visited DBT-(Department of Biotechnology) Doaba College. They observed the new equipments for DNA detection i:e how it is used in Forensic science, visited the Botanical garden, observed Tissue culture and live specimens of Fetus, sea animals, Birds, Human skeleton. Students also met the head of Biotech –Dr. Rajiv Khosla who is been awarded as the ‘Young scientist’ for his research in Tuberculosis. Doaba College has been granted 55 lakhs under DBT (Department of Biotechnology) star college scheme for research. They provided firsthand knowledge to the students about the subject. Overall it was a very informative trip.
